Privacy policy

How BetterDay Food Co. uses the information needed to plan, prepare, deliver and support your orders.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

What this covers

This policy applies when you use BetterDay’s website, create an account, place an order, contact us or otherwise share information with BetterDay Food Co. (BetterDay).

Information we collect

We collect the details you give us to serve you, such as your name, email address, phone number, delivery or pickup details, order history, meal preferences, dietary information, feedback and messages to our team.

We also collect limited technical information used to keep the site working and secure, such as device, browser, cookie and log information.

Card payments are handled by Stripe. BetterDay may receive a display-safe record of your payment method, such as card brand, last four digits and expiry date, but BetterDay does not receive or store your full card number or CVC.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the service: confirm and deliver orders, process payments, maintain your account, send order and service messages, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and meet recordkeeping obligations.

We may send updates or offers when you ask for them or where permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe option in the message or by contacting us.

Payments and saved cards

Stripe processes our card payments. When you leave “Save this card for next time” on at checkout, you ask BetterDay to keep a reusable payment method with Stripe for future BetterDay purchases. You can turn the switch off before placing that order to use the card only for that purchase.

Saved cards can be managed or removed from your BetterDay account. We do not sell payment information or use it for a purpose outside the payment choices you make.

When we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the service: with payment processors such as Stripe, delivery or fulfillment partners, technology and communications providers, professional advisers, or where required to comply with law or protect people and our service.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention, security and your choices

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, accounting and dispute requirements. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and records we must retain. Email hello@eatbetterday.ca with your request.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our service or legal obligations change. We will post the current version here with its updated date. For privacy questions or concerns, contact hello@eatbetterday.ca.
